Märklin ENTHUSIASTS CLUBS

European Train Enthusiasts *

PO Box 1991

Email: European Train Enthusiasts

* Strictly speaking, ETE is not a Märklin club. They are European Train Enthusiasts; some chapters are Märklin-
oriented and others are not.  We have listed ETE in our list of Märklin clubs because their interests often overlap
with the interests of Märklin aficionados.  We recommend that you contact ETE to determine if the focus of specific
local ETE chapters or events includes three-rail Märklin . . . many European model train operators focus on two-rail
systems (including two-rail Märklin systems) that are not compatible with three-rail Märklin.

SWAP MEETS AND NEWSLETTER:

The Märklin Enthusiasts of America (MEA) club is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the "European model train (primarily Märklin) hobby" and was started in 1972. (It is not the same as the "Marklin Club" nor is it affiliated with " Märklin, Inc.") The MEA offers the following:

  • Two swap meets per year, which are currently held at the Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel & Conference Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
  • The "handelspost", which is the MEA's swap newsletter for Märklin and other European made trains. Beyond the members' advertisements, this newsletter is full of technical articles, spare parts info, and other items sure to interest the Märklin Enthusiast!

The "handelspost"   is a major feature of the Club!!
Members are entitled to a free 1/2 page ad in each issue!

  • A "Membership Directory", published yearly. It not only contains all names, addresses, and interests (collect-operate-gauges, etc.) but includes a list broken down by states and countries to make it easier to locate other members in your area.
  • Commemorative limited issue Märklin items. The most recent was the 25th Anniversary MEA Tank Car.

MEMBERSHIP DUES AND APPLICATION FORM:

See the MEA Application Form for current dues. To join the MEA, print the MEA Application Form, fill in the necessary information, and mail the form along with applicable dues (in US funds) to the address shown below.
